The physical tests in these competitions look like something anyone can do, and that is why most people train without a plan. Then on test day the gaps show up. We start by measuring what you can do now, stopwatch in hand. From there we build the weeks between you and the deadline, putting the work where it is needed rather than where it is easy.

The minimum standards change with every call for applications. The benchmarks I use are from the current call, not an old table pulled from the internet.

ITALIAN ARMY

The Italian Army tests are passed with consistency, not brute strength: show up unprepared and you pay for it on the run and the strength section. We start by timing what you can do today, no allowances, and from there we build the weeks left until the deadline, putting the work where you are weak rather than where it feels easy.

The Italian Police test is short, and that is exactly why it does not forgive: it is decided in a few minutes and what matters is how used you are to performing cold, without a long warm-up. We work on what you are missing and run the test in real conditions, so on exam day nothing is new.

For the Carabinieri, you need to arrive ready for several tests on the same day, and the fatigue from one carries into the next. Preparation takes the order and recovery times into account, not just the individual exercises. We measure at the start, measure again along the way, and the programme adjusts to those numbers.
